Lewes Castle is owned and managed by the Sussex Archaeological Society, a charity, which was set up in

organisation with around 2000 members. The Society owns 7 historic properties across East and West
Sussex. Lewes Castle, in the historic County Town of East Sussex, was the first property taken on by the

Biggar Archaeology
Based in Biggar a small town in the Southern Uplands of Scotland. Work includes excavating bastle houses in Clydesdale, and they have a permanent display in their museum at Biggar. Heritage trails have been opened to some of them.
